Tips For Buying Concert Tickets PATCHED

This should be obvious, but sometimes the simplest things of the world were made to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27, sort of). Many ticket sites require concert-goers to register and create a profile before they can purchase their tickets. Before tickets go on sale, be sure you've made your accounts and filled in all your details for faster check-out.

tips for buying concert tickets

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but things will never be so bad that you'll have to turn to scalpers. There will always be someone who'll sell tickets at a reasonable price at one point. Turn to trusted fandom circles who won't overprice tickets, and you'll be just fine. Plus, often times, there are people who still sell their tickets at the same price, especially when the concert draws near.

Though Budelli says every event and tour has its own unique life cycle, it's possible to score deals by keeping an eye on prices as the show gets closer and buying when you sense a lull in interest (right now is probably a good time to look for tickets to August and September concerts, for example).

The summer months are always the hottest time of the year to catch a concert, and with Adele, Coldplay, Drake and other popular artists touring in the coming months, this year is no different. With fans often having to decide between a few different show options since artists sometimes play multiple days in a city, there are some key factors to keep in mind when buying a ticket for a big summer concert.

After two years of online concerts and only watching your faves on screen, fans can now finally see their idols perform live and in person. But while it truly is a different feeling to watch an artist live for their concert, you first need to secure that ticket, which to many serves as the hardest part. Buying concert tickets in general is often a kind of intense sport that should be studied in the future, but it gets even more intense when it involves K-pop artists. The rush and struggle to be one of the first to secure a ticket before it gets sold out is real. It can be a hair pulling situation.

There are various options for obtaining concert tickets presale or after the box office opens. Presale refers to the time period before tickets go on sale to the general public. Presales happen mostly online, generally a few days to a few weeks before the public sale begins.[1]XResearch source These offers can account for up to 90% of the available tickets, and are used for fan club members, select credit card holders, and acquaintances of the band.[2]XResearch source All remaining tickets that have not been sold during the presales become available through the public sale. You can buy public sale tickets online, by telephone, or at the box office. Tickets become available at all three places at the same time, and all three are selling tickets from the same pool. If the event sells out, you may still be able to score one or more seats.

Thanks to the internet, there are countless ways for consumers to find tickets and connect with online marketplaces, ticket sellers, and resellers. Unfortunately, some of them are rip-offs, and it's not always clear how to tell if a ticket is fake. Last year, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) received over 140 reports on BBB Scam Tracker about ticket scams related to sporting events, concerts, theatre, and more.

When shows first sell out, there is a ton of hype and passion behind ticket buying. People want to make sure they will be able to see the show, so they will pay anything to lock in their tickets. Avoid making the scalpers too happy by waiting it out a while.

Artists have to pay for the equipment used, venues hired, efforts to train talent, showmanship, and more. Usually, this translates to expensive concert tickets. On average, it was found that pop concerts tend to cost around $100.65, while R&B shows go for $82.76.

Getting the best tickets to these concerts often requires a significant battle. Typically, these tickets are ripe for getting snatched by scalpers and ticket-brokers minutes or even seconds after they go on sale.

Other presale methods vary according to the concert, including Citi, American Express and other major credit card presales, which you can access simply by using your card number to buy the tickets. Radio presales are often offered as well, so check the radio sites of your favorite artists for information.

As the concert approaches, check secondhand ticket brokers and scalping sites such as StubHub and Vivid Seats. Depending on demand for a particular artist or event, resellers may be willing to sell tickets at lower prices in order to at least gain a bit of profit.

Placed in a waiting room on the verification page? That's OK. Remember: A lot of people want tickets to these shows. Due to demand, you may need to wait in a "virtual" line to register. This isn't the same as the waiting room for buying tickets - that opens minutes before a given on-sale.

No luck with this pre-sale? Don't worry ... yet. Ticket brokers and concert promoters typically designate an unspecified allotment to each pre-sale. At least two more chances for retail-priced tickets remain after the "TaylorSwiftTix" pre-sale closes.

So your favorite band is coming to town. Tickets go on sale at 10 am. At 9:59, you are logged onto Ticketmaster, LiveNation, or whatever on-line service is acting as the exclusive ticket agent. At 10 a.m. sharp, you hit the enter key and viola; fifth row balcony seats are all yours for the price of the ticket plus a mere 40% in service charges and fees. Meanwhile, StubHub, Ace Ticket and various other "ticket agencies" (formerly known as scalpers) are already offering second row floor seats at four times the face value of the ticket (and the 40% service fees). What gives? Well, between the artists, the corporate sponsors, the venues and the on-line service, usually about 40% of the tickets are already accounted for prior to that 10 a.m. public sale time. Which 40 do you think they are going to take? However, you are not really interested in the ticket seller's cozy relationship with the ticket agents. Furthermore, you don't have an extra $500 in the budget for two tickets. Your problem is you know a really hot guy or girl who loves Dave Matthews. You need to be doing the "I'm with the band" walk down to the front and not sitting on the lawn with 10,000 other "over-served" fans. What can you do?Fortunately, getting great seats is not always that difficult or expensive. What you mainly need is patience and persistence - and some inside knowledge. The artist is allotted a certain number of seats for each show: great seats, the best seats. The artist doesn't need most of these tickets. Here are three ways you can snag them:1. About 48-24 hours prior to the concert, these tickets will be "released." That means, by logging onto the on-line ticket service during this period, you'll often find great seats at face value. (You still have to pay the service fees, but if you are in the first five rows, it's a small, and unfortunately unavoidable, price to pay.) You have to keep trying right up until the time of the show and be willing to pick up the tickets at will call. For example, Bob Dylan recently released 10 second row seats one hour prior to the concert. 2. Another method is to go by the venue's box office. Check intermittently, but start checking regularly a day or two before the day of the show. You have to check repeatedly on the day of the show. Be there when the box office opens that day and keep checking back. Again, check right up until show time. Most people are under the impression the show is sold out. Almost always there will be seats, great seats, for sale at the box office within an hour or two before the concert begins. Another advantage of buying tickets at the box office is there are usually no "service fees."3. Finally, beat the "ticket agents" at their own game. Fortunately, agents operate on greed. So they almost always over-price their tickets. This means there will be tickets left on the day of the show. Further, with e-tickets, you can get the actual tickets over the computer. Again, about 48-24 hours before the show starts, checking the ticket service websites. That is when ticket prices usually begin to drop. When buying tickets through the Internet, use common sense. Reputable ticket agencies (StubHub, for example) guarantee the tickets. If you're buying your tickets on eBay, make sure you purchase through the eBay site and use PayPal. Finally, if it's an Internet site you've never heard of, or if a deal seems too good to be true, it is. Disclaimer: These are the methods I used to get my BTS concert tickets. I can NOT guarantee that you will get tickets. These methods are just tips to help ARMY, friends of ARMY, or fans of BTS get tickets.

Ticket prices vary for each concert and venue, but BTS concert tickets typically range from $60 to $500. Then Ticketmaster adds a BUNCH of unnecessary fees, so save for that. Also, if you plan to travel have money for that as well. Then, there is also the option of buying tickets later on which will likely be a bit more due to resellers and the horrible scalpers overpricing tickets.

Also, get familiar with different time zones, especially Korea Standard Time. You might also want to get familiar with 24-hour time or military time. Again, just make sure you have the correct times, especially if the venue is not in your time zone! It has happened to me when I missed a presale or fan sale for concerts because I thought it was in my time zone. Make sure you triple-check when tickets go on sale! 041b061a72
