Buy House In Woodbridge Va

The nightlife scene in Woodbridge is relatively quiet. In fact, the majority of local hangouts are restaurants that host live bands and stay open later on weekends. For more low-key bars, locals head to Potomac Mills for beers at the Bungalow Alehouse or frozen tropical delights from Bahama Breeze.

If you are taking the initiative to sell your own house, there is one listing service worth a look, and then another. ByOwner.com gives your home the same visibility as a standard real estate brokerage does. The major difference rests in the money you save.

When partnering with ByOwner, you know the house will appear on all local MLS but the exposure does not stop there. Not only will your home show up in all the primary search engines and frequently-used real estate portals like Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com, MSN, AOL, Bing, Yahoo, and Google, your FSBO entry may also emerge on the big-time brokerage sites, ReMax, C-21, Coldwell Banker, ERA, Redfin, Movoto, Keller Williams for example. This is due to the fact that broker platforms often include all the local MLS listings and that includes your new listing in Woodbridge.

Signing on with ByOwner can yield substantial savings; previous clients have saved on expenses in the area of $15,000 and so can you. These reserves accumulate because we equip you to successfully market the property with optimal exposure. Therefore the input costs of selling the house in Woodbridge are far less than would be otherwise.

Leesylvania State Park opened in 1989, and more facilities were added in 1992. In 1978, noted philanthropist Daniel Ludwig donated the land to the state for a park. The Society of Lees of Virginia, a national historical society, was instrumental in securing the donation. Locally the area is known as "Freestone Point," referring to the sandstone early settlers took from the property for building. Henry Lee II lived on the property from 1747 until he died in 1787. His wife died five years later, and both were buried at the family gravesite, which is still on the property. Their mansion burned soon after Mrs. Lee died. Eight children were born at Leesylvania, including Henry Lee III (Light Horse Harry), a cavalry colonel in the revolution, governor of Virginia (1791-1794) and father of Robert E. Lee. In 1825 the property was sold to Henry Fairfax. His son John, later an aide to CSA Gen. James Longstreet, inherited the property in 1847. The Fairfax house burned in 1910, shortly after John's death, but many remnants, including a large chimney that has been restored, remain on the site. In addition, Freestone Point was the site of a Confederate force and gun emplacement during the Civil War. 041b061a72
